The 5 Second Rule is as simple as you think. It is just the backward counting (5, 4, 3, 2, 1 and GO!). Yes, this is actually The 5 Second Rule. It seems so simple but its benefits are remarkable.
How I can use the Rule:
It’s simple whenever you are trying to do something new or want to restrict yourself from doing something you don’t want it will help you.
Just start counting backward. Counting backward will help you focus on the goal or commitment and distract you from the worries, thoughts, and fear in your mind that stops you from taking actions and when you reach to 1 just move that’s it.
It’s so simple but anytime there is something you knew you should do you feels fear, uncertain, start overthinking just start counting backward 5 -4 3-2-1 that will quiet your mind and just move or take action when you get to 1.
Counting and moving are actions. by teaching yourself taking actions when you just stopped yourself by thinking you create remarkable change.
Counting backward distracts your mind from negative thoughts, it makes you focus on your actions and most importantly it prepares you to take some action.
How 5 Seconds Rule Works:
The Rule changed everything by teaching How to change.
The rule actually works on one thing – YOU. You stop yourself from changing the exact same way every single time you hesitate, then you overthink and you lock yourself in mental jail.
